Some of us did not learn healing as, rest.

We learned to call endurance, strength, silence as, maturity, and carrying everything alone, survival.

So when softness arrives, it does not always feel comforting.

Sometimes it feels unfamiliar.
Even unsafe.

This piece is about that quiet realization:
that holding everything together was not always strength.

Sometimes it was just the only way we knew how to cope.
